Impact Counsellors

IMPACT Counselling provides a highly professional service using experienced counsellors and supervisors. We believe any organisation offering counselling to their staff should feel confident it is provided by a competent and well trained team.

Unlike some counselling organisations IMPACT does not offer student placements but guarantees all the counsellors are adequately qualified and experienced in offering a Brief Solution Focused model of working.

The Board of IMPACT Counselling Limited is made up of practising counsellors who are Accredited and Senior Accredited (more than 6 years Accreditation) members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Accredited practitioners are required to complete a minimum number of CPD hours annually.

Impact Counsellors

All IMPACT counsellors are either BACP Accredited, members of BACP or eligible to be by meeting the detailed criteria. They have a recognised Diploma in Counselling and have completed more than 450 hours of supervised practice. In addition they have specific training and experience covering stress, bereavement, substance misuse, working with survivors of abuse, relationship problems, domestic violence and dealing with the aftermath of a critical incident. Counsellors have worked in the commercial, voluntary and statutory sectors as workers and managers. This enables us to understand the demands in different organisations and the possible areas of stress and conflict.

Individual members of BACP work within the Ethical Framework of Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP 2002) and recieve receive regular supervision for their practice.

Some IMPACT counsellors have completed the Diploma in Supervision for Counselling and related Paychotherapies. They offer non line management supervision and consultation to counsellors and practitioners in related fields.

IMPACT Counselling also has a UK College and Legal Aid Board recognised Mediator who provides conflict resolution in the workplace.
